Inflation, Interest & Investment (to Infinity) is a series of three photographies of perpetuum mobile, machines which themselves produce the energy which in turn runs them.

Perpetuum mobile were especially popular in the 19th century, and many scientists dedicated their lives to the search for what in many ways can be describes as the alchemy of the industrial revolution.

In many ways we can describe the capitalist-economic model as a similar pursuit; one of the most important requisites of capitalism is infinite growth. For the economic model most of the Western world is based upon, everlasting economic growth is necessary.
