The stamp of the mirrored world map is a piece which explicitly discusses the way we perceive the world around us. The world map is probably one of the most iconic images around, and carries within it a large array of issues such as the different projections and their accuracy, the centering of certain parts of the world and so on. Seemingly, the iconic nature of the image and perhaps it's silhouette quality makes it just as easy to recognize a mirrored version as the original. In turn, this has led to confusion as to what has been done to it. Though the finished artwork is inaccurate - to say the least, it originates, of course, from a stamp bearing a correct rendering of the world.
